Baxter Planning’s Women in Supply Chain

Last week, Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine announced its 2021 Women in Supply Chain Award winners, and we are so excited to announce that two of our team members were awarded: Denise Hinkley and Remi Fruge.

The Women in Supply Chain award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship, and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. This year’s list includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies, academia, transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions, and more. The winners all help the supply chain community at large prepare to meet many of today’s challenges while also preparing the industry for tomorrow.

Meet Baxter Planning’s 2021 Women in Supply Chain Award Winners:

Denise Hinkley: Denise joined Baxter Planning in March 2020 and is the Director, Professional Services and PMO. She is responsible for the overall management of our implementations. Denise established the project management office at Baxter Planning and works internally with teams to enhance project governance, ensuring successful implementations. With more than twenty years in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors, Denise has experience in waterfall and agile methodologies; developing strong relationships; strategic implementation; leading teams, building, and executing best practices in all areas of implementation; and project management. She loves partnering with customers to implement our software to help their supply chain planning and inventory optimization.

As a reflection on her work experience, Denise proudly shares, “It’s an amazing time to be a woman in supply chain and see the positive impacts more and more of us are making in the industry each day. I’m excited to be a part of it and look forward to collaborating with other women on strategic initiatives that allow us to keep moving forward.”

Remi Fruge: Remi holds a Supply Chain Management degree from Texas A&M University. After graduation, she started working for a top consumer packaged goods company where she held various roles in the supply chain function. As a supply chain analyst, she supported a forecasting technology implementation which included requirements reviews, modeling an optimal solution, integration of data feeds, testing, change management, and deployment. To gain additional hands-on experience, she served as an operations manager responsible for driving results in all outbound operations functions, delivering people and team development, site management, and customer service within the distribution center. In early 2020, she joined our team here at Baxter Planning and transitioned from consumer goods to Service Parts Planning.

Remi’s dedication got her to where she is today, and that same spirit of tenacity motivates her to continue paving the way for women in the business. She says, “I’m working to grow the presence of women in leadership positions in business and supply chain management. To quote Sheryl Sandberg, ‘We’ve got to get women to sit at the table.’ I’m working for my seat at the table.”
