Baxter Planning Appoints Anupama Sharma as Chief Technology Officer
We are thrilled to welcome Anupama “Anu” Sharma as our new Chief Technology Officer! Anu joins at a pivotal moment for Baxter Planning as we continue investing in innovation and AI purpose-built for the Service Supply Chain.
Anu has spent more than 25 years building and scaling technology organizations within PE-backed vertical SaaS companies. Her career has been shaped by high-growth environments that demand speed, operational discipline, and the ability to solve complex challenges at scale. She has a strong track record in platform transformation and organizational growth, helping engineering teams move faster while maintaining the rigor enterprise software requires.
Before joining Baxter Planning, Anu held senior technology leadership roles at Alpine Software Group, including CTO-in-Residence and CTO/CPTO positions across multiple portfolio companies. There, she led platform modernization initiatives, built and scaled product and engineering organizations, integrated acquired businesses onto unified platforms, and supported technical diligence efforts across the portfolio.
Earlier in her career, she spent a decade at RealPage, where she helped scale the engineering organization through a period of 4x ARR growth while building global teams, launching new products, and modernizing core systems.
Anu is also a contributor to the Forbes Technology Council.
Why Baxter Planning?
Anu was drawn to Baxter Planning because the company has something that is genuinely rare in this industry: more than thirty years of domain expertise embedded directly into a platform trusted by customers who continue to grow with Baxter Planning over the long term. In a highly specialized Service Supply Chain market, that depth of knowledge, customer trust, and operational experience creates an incredibly strong foundation for continued innovation and growth.
“When I look at Baxter Planning, I see a company that has already proven its value and built lasting relationships with its customers,” said Anu. “What excites me most is the opportunity to help expand on that foundation by making the platform even more intelligent, scalable, and impactful for the organizations that rely on it every day.”
She was equally impressed by the team’s focus, technical depth, and commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for customers.
The Future of AI in the Service Supply Chain
The Service Supply Chain is one of the most operationally complex environments, where mastering complexity with precision directly impacts margins, growth, and customer experience. A wrong forecast does not just create inefficiency, it can mean a technician arrives without the right part, critical equipment stays down, and a customer’s operations are disrupted. That is why success with AI in this space requires more than speed. It requires trustworthy systems, strong governance, explainability, and technology customers can rely on.
Baxter Planning’s AI strategy is built around helping organizations make faster, more accurate decisions through intelligent workflows, conversational interfaces, and SSC Agents that reduce friction, surface insights, and improve execution across the Service Supply Chain. That roadmap advances deliberately toward autonomous planning, beginning with understanding and analysis, then progressing into recommendations, orchestration, and action with the appropriate level of human oversight.
“We believe the future of AI in the Service Supply Chain will be defined by the combination of trusted operational data and deep domain expertise,” said Anton Chilton, CEO of Baxter Planning. “Baxter Planning has spent decades ingesting and structuring complex Service Supply Chain data while embedding Practitioner Expertise into uniquely engineered, expert-authored solutions. That foundation is what empowers AI, enabling customers to move beyond generic insights toward more accurate, predictive, and adaptive decision-making.”
With Anu joining as CTO, Baxter Planning is further strengthening the engineering function behind that vision, continuing to advance planning and execution through a unified platform designed to ensure the right parts are available at the right time and place while eliminating the trade-offs between service, cost, and resilience.
