Culture of Giving Includes Community Service and Employee Match Program

Austin, TX – December 27, 2019 — Baxter Planning, the pioneer and recognized leader in service parts planning and optimization solutions, closes out the year with a charitable donation as an alternative to customer gifts this holiday season. Baxter’s contribution to Direct Relief marks the 5th year the company has opted for a donation in its customers’ name in lieu of gifts.

Direct Relief is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with a stated mission to “improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergency situations by mobilizing and providing essential medical resources needed for their care.” The humanitarian organization is active in over 80 countries and earns wide recognition from independent charity rating agencies and watchdogs, including a 100% fundraising efficiency rating from Forbes, the No. 1 spot on Charity Navigator’s list of the “10 Best Charities Everyone’s Heard Of,” and inclusion in Fast Company’s list of “the world’s most innovative nonprofits.” Learn more at directrelief.org.

The donation follows other community campaigns this year including the Real Men Wear Pink campaign where Baxter partnered with customer Ricoh (OTCMKTS:RICOY) and 20 other community leaders to help raise awareness and over $300,000 for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives. Learn more at cancer.org. In 2019, Baxter also established a relationship with Mobile Loaves & Fishes through a series of volunteer project days in support of the Community First! Village in East Austin. The village is a 51-acre master planned development that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. As always, Baxter Planning continues to proudly match employee charitable contributions up to $1000 per employee, per year. Non-profits benefiting from this year’s program include Austin Pets Alive, Boys and Girls Club, Clean Water Fund, Wounded Warrior Project, and many more.
