Baxter Planning recognizes winners of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2021 Women in Supply Chain Award

This award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments leverage supply chains for competitive advantage

Austin, TX — Sept. 20, 2021 — Baxter Planning, a pioneer and recognized leader in Service Parts Planning and Optimization software, has announced that two of its team members have been named as Women in Supply Chain 2021 by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain.

The Women in Supply Chain award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship, and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. This year’s list includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies and academia, trucking and transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions, and more. They have all helped supply chain clients and the supply chain community at large prepare to meet many of today’s—and tomorrow’s—challenges.

Baxter Planning’s 2021 Women in Supply Chain

Denise Hinkley: Denise joined Baxter Planning in March 2020 and is the Director, Professional Services & Project Management Office. She is responsible for the overall management of all implementations. Denise established the project management office at Baxter Planning and works internally with teams to enhance project governance, ensuring successful implementations. With more than twenty years in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors, Denise has experience in waterfall and agile methodologies, developing strong relationships, strategic implementation, leading teams, building and executing best practices in all areas of implementation, and project management. Prior to joining Baxter Planning, Denise spent several years in the Austin startup world, joining and also establishing a women-led startup in the financial tech industry. She is excited to now be part of the service parts industry partnering with customers to implement software that helps with supply chain planning and inventory optimization.

As a reflection on her work experience, Denise proudly shares that, “It’s an amazing time to be a woman in supply chain and see the positive impacts more and more of us are making in the industry each day. I’m excited to be a part of it and look forward to collaborating with other women on strategic initiatives that allow us to keep moving forward.”

Remi Fruge: Remi holds a Supply Chain Management degree from Texas A&M University. After graduation, she started working for a top CPG company where she held various roles in the supply chain function. As a supply chain analyst, she supported a forecasting technology implementation which included requirements reviews, modeling an optimal solution, integration of data feeds, testing, change management, and deployment. To gain additional hands-on experience, she served as an operations manager responsible for driving results in all outbound operations functions, delivering people and team development, site management, and customer service within the distribution center. In early 2020, she joined Baxter Planning and transitioned from consumer goods to Service Parts Planning to expand her knowledge and expertise in the overall supply chain.

Remi’s dedication got her to where she is today, and that same spirit of tenacity motivates her to continue paving the way for women in the business. She says, “I’m working to grow the presence of women in leadership positions in business and supply chain management. To quote Sheryl Sandberg, ‘We’ve got to get women to sit at the table.’ I’m working for my seat at the table.”

Baxter Planning values having a diverse team with women well represented in each department. Having two employees win this award is exciting for everyone. “Baxter Planning is very proud to have women like Remi Fruge and Denise Hinkley on our leadership team. Denise and Remi do an amazing job representing Baxter Planning in the industry, using their backgrounds and expertise to meet our customers’ needs,” stated Mike Nilsson, Baxter Planning VP of Global Customer Success. “Their leadership skills and personalities bring an energy to the team, while their drive for excellence enables strong partnerships with our customers.
